Mindtree News Today: Two more senior Mindtree executives quit | India Business News

BENGALURU: Mindtree has seen significant churn at the top, following its acquisition by L&T.

Mindtree executive vice-president Satya Ramaswamy has just joined Sutherland Global services as chief technology officer. Senior vice-president Anil Rao has resigned after being at the helm for nearly two decades.

Rao had played a key role in strengthening Mindtree’s software engineering practices and in developing project management and delivery management capabilities.

In November, Mindtree’s then CFO Pradip Menon joined Pidilite Industries as its CFO. A few months ago, former EVP and Americas head Paul Gottsegen quit to join Information Services Group (ISG) as partner and president of research and client experience.

Pankaj Khanna, who was VP of revenue assurance, responsible for workforce management, talent acquisition and campus programme, and Anish Philip, who was VP of people function, also resigned from the firm recently. An email sent to Mindtree on the changes did not elicit a response till the time of going to press.

Some senior executives from Cognizant is said to have joined the firm recently. Balakrishnan Shanmugham has joined as the head of global operations. He had spent nearly 15 years with Cognizant where he served as the global delivery head for the information, media and entertainment practice in his last stint.

Sources told TOI that some of the exits from Mindtree were a result of changes in the managerial hierarchies and reporting structures. The new management under CEO Debashis Chatterjee, who too was in Cognizant prior to this, is seeking to bring the focus back on the business after the turbulence during the L&T takeover.

Atos Syntel veteran joins Hexaware as COO

French IT major Atos Syntel’s chief delivery officer Ram Singampalli has joined Baring-backed Hexaware as its COO effective Monday. It’s a new position for Hexaware and the idea seems to be to strengthen the delivery organisation.

Singampalli, who has spent 26 years in the sector, has done several gigs at Syntel in areas spanning operations, business unit head and strategic initiatives.

Atos acquired Syntel in 2018. Hexaware has also appointed Vishwanath Joshi as chief people officer. Joshi was in Great Place to Work, India, where he was the practice head.
