New Delhi: Here’s a list of stocks that may be in news on Thursday:
Metal Companies: The US on Wednesday signed the first phase of a trade deal with China concluding more than a year of tough negotiations, including several months of suspension of talks between the two largest economies of the world.
Jet Airways: Two parties, including South America’s Synergy Group, and Delhi-based Prudent ARC Limited, have submitted expression of interest for Jet Airways Ltd, according to a Mint report. The Hinduja group, which had earlier shown interest in bidding for the airline, backed out from being a contender, it added.
Bharti Airtel: The special panel of Bharti Airtel Ltd on Wednesday approved a mega fund-raising plan through a $2 billion qualified institutional placement (QIP) at Rs445 a share and a separate $1 billion bond issue of 1.05%, the company said in an exchange filing.
Telecom Companies: Telecom operators Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio (a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd) and Vodafone Idea have submitted their applications for 5G trials. According to a PTI report, Airtel has joined hands with Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson and Nokia for 5G trials in the country, while Jio has partnered Samsung. Vodafone Idea has partnered Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson and Nokia for the same.
Bank of Baroda & HDFC Bank: The BSE on Wednesday sought clarification from HDFC Bank Ltd and Bank of Baroda with respect to the news reports alleging their involvement in the ₹800 crore Foreign Exchange Management Act violation case against Amrapali group.
Kotak Mahindra Bank: Kotak Mahindra Prime Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bank has executed a Share Purchase Agreement, for sale of its entire equity stake of 5.56% in Equifax Credit Information Services Private Limited, according to a regulatory filing.
Larsen & Toubro Infotech: The company reported a 4.6% quarter-on-quarter rise in its consolidated profit to ₹376.7 crore for the quarter ended December. During the September quarter, Larsen & Toubro Infotech had reported a net profit of ₹360.4 crore. On a year-on-year basis, Q3 net profit grew 0.3%.
IL&FS Transportation Networks: In a meeting held with National Highways Authority of India IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd settled a road project for ₹672 crore, according to a BSE notice filed by the insolvent firm. However, at the moment no definitive agreement has been signed, the notice said.
State Bank of India: India’s largest public sector lender has approved divestment of entire 7.41% equity stake in Equifax Credit lnformation Services Pvt Ltd. The Share purchase Agreement was executed between the parties to the transaction on Wednesday.
Asian Paints: The Competition Commission of India has ordered a probe against Asian Paints Ltd for allegedly hindering the entry of JSW Paints in the decorative paints segment. Asian Paints is currently examining the order and will take appropriate legal recourse and will extend full co-operation to CCI in the matter, it said in a BSE filing.
