Election strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has hit out at his former JD(U) boss Nitish Kumar, questioning Nitish Kumar on the pace of development in the state.
In an all-out attack on Nitsh Kumar after his expulsion from the party, Prashant Kishor said on Tuesday, Nitish ji always said he cannot leave the ideals of Gandhi, but now the party is with those who are soft on (Gandhi’s killer Nathuram) Godse… For me, Gandhi and Godse cannot go hand-in-hand.”
On his expulsion from the JD(U), Prashant Kishor said he won’t question the decision. “I have had good relations with Nitish ji. I have immense respect for him. I will not question his decision,” Prashant Kishor said at a press conference on Tuesday. Kishor, however, said that he had an ideological rift with Nitish Kumar.

The election strategist also hit out at Nitish Kumar over the pace of development in Bihar. “I won’t say that there has been no development in Bihar in last 15 years. But if you compare Bihar with other states, the pace has not been as it should have,” Prashant Kishor said.
Kishor added: “Bihar was poorest state in 2005 and continues to be so. There is no one to question Nitish Kumar’s governance model.”
“We want a decisive leadership. You can check social and economic parameters that development did not take place in Bihar,” Kishor added. He said Bihar wants to know what Nitish Kumar has done for state’s development and what he will do if they win state poll.
Ahead of Bihar Assembly election, Prashant Kishor on Tuesday launched a “Baat Bihar Ki” programme to reach out to the state’s youth. This comes days after Prashant Kishor was expelled from the JD(U) by Nitish Kumar for his open stand against the citizenship law.
