The ZS EV is available in two variants, Excite and Exclusive and are priced at Rs 23,38,000 and Rs 27,29,800 respectively. With this, there are six charging options like DC super fast chargers, AC fast chargers and portable chargers. The company is also offering free installation of the charger at home or office for the ZS EV customers. The company claims that the ZS EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds. It comes with a 50.3 kWh capacity battery pack, which is mated to a permanent magnetic synchronous motor. This powertrain gives the car a power of 174 bhp.
MG Motor launched the Comet EV last month. Its booking has started from May 15. It is being said to be the most affordable electric car in the country. 11,000 will have to be paid to book it. It will be available in three variants. Its starting price is Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has told that this initial price is for 5,000 bookings. After this its price can be increased. To book it, one has to visit MG Motor’s website.
Deliveries of the Comet EV will begin on May 22. MG Motor has also provided ‘Trace and Track’ facility for Comet EV customers in which customers will be able to track their vehicle from production to delivery. The company is also offering a buyback program wherein customers will be assured of 60 per cent of the cost of the vehicle after three years. Comet EV has a range of around 230 kms. It has 12 inch steel wheels. Its battery is of 17.3 kWh. It is a two-door, four-seat subcompact hatchback. Its electric motor gives power of 41.42 bhp and torque of 110 Nm.
