New Delhi: Thursday was a relief for the people of Delhi-NCR troubled by the scorching heat. Rain knocked in some areas of NCR on Thursday evening. The weather became very pleasant after the rain. It rained heavily in Noida and Greater Noida West after the thunderstorm. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 22.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday, four notches below the season’s average. The Meteorological Department had earlier expressed the possibility of rain. According to the weather, till May 28, the process of rain will continue after the strong thunderstorm. The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain and thundershower with gusty winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph. On Thursday, the weather remained pleasant with strong winds and scattered rain in Central Delhi, East Delhi, New Delhi, North Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, South Delhi, South West Delhi and West Delhi. On the other hand, in parts of Punjab and Haryana, the temperature has dropped due to overnight rains on Wednesday. According to the Meteorological Department here, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Patiala, Faridkot, Mohali, SBS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Ambala, Narnaul, Rohtak, Yamunanagar, Panchkula and other places received rain on Wednesday night. It rained in both the states and Chandigarh in the early hours of Wednesday.
Heavy rain in Delhi’s Dwarka
Heavy rain was witnessed in Dwarka area of Delhi on Thursday evening. After the rain, people also had to face the problem of evening traffic in the main areas of the city. On the other hand, strong winds and rain knocked in North East Delhi, North West Delhi, South Delhi, South West Delhi and West Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, the process of rain will continue.
