An 87,000-square-feet rangoli of Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been drawn in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur city as a part of the Republic Day celebrations. Artist Shripad Mirajkar took a few days to paint Sonu Sood’s portrait using more than 7 tonnes of rangoli powder in a public park.
Sonu Sood expressed his happiness on seeing the rangoli with his picture and said: I am short of words and overwhelmed for the love shown by people, I thank Vipul of Solapur, who made the biggest rangoli of 87,000 square feet. He has achieved this milestone of setting a world record and I am proud of him.
Rangoli is now attracting thousands of visitors every day. The actor’s work through his foundation Sood Charity Foundation started with helping migrants reach home during the Covid lockdown and is now spearheading several efforts in areas such as public health and education.
On the work front, Sonu will soon be seen in the film ‘Fateh’ which is inspired by real life events and will have high-octane action sequences. The film is an action-thriller helmed by Abhinandan Gupta, who previously worked as an assistant director on films like ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Shamshera’.
After ‘Fateh’, he will start shooting for his second film ‘Kisan’.
