If people associated with SP and BSP are to be believed, Fahad Yazdani has been close to both the parties. When Shahid Manzoor was a cabinet minister in Mulayam Singh and then Akhilesh Yadav’s government, Fatah Yazdani came close to him. He also wanted to contest assembly elections from SP, but later he contested on ticket from BSP.

According to people associated with the BSP organization, in 2017, he contested from the Badhapur assembly seat in Bijnor district and secured 50, 684 votes. He also made his permanent office at Afzalgarh in Bijnor. But came third in the polls. Even after losing the election, he remained active in Badhapur area for a few days but later shifted to Bijnor. In the 2022 assembly elections, Yajdani wanted a BSP ticket but did not get the ticket.
