New Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given another international airport to the state before the UP elections. He laid the foundation stone of Jewar airport on Thursday. A few days back, he inaugurated the International Airport in Kushinagar. From Jewar, the Prime Minister targeted SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who was trying to take credit for the Purvanchal Expressway. Modi said that for us infrastructure is a part of national policy, not politics. We don’t just start the work, we also complete it within the stipulated time frame.

Actually, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has accused BJP of inaugurating the projects started during his government. He had also tried to describe the Purvanchal Expressway as a project of his own government and took a jibe at PM Modi and CM Yogi by calling him a scissor GV. In response to this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked Akhilesh without naming him. The PM said that infrastructure is not a part of politics for us but a part of national policy. We are making sure that the project does not get stuck, the project does not hang, the project does not go astray. The project should be completed within the stipulated time frame.

FAQ on Jewar Airport: Jewar will be the world’s fourth largest airport, when will the flight start, how much will it cost, know the answer to every question
Attacking the previous governments of UP, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘Friends, I will say one more thing. If Modi-Yogi also wanted, they would have come here and performed Bhoomi Pujan as soon as the government was formed in 2017. Photographs were taken. Press note would also be printed in the newspaper. And if we do this, then because of the habit of the previous governments, we are doing something wrong, people do not even think so.

Earlier such areas were not connected by facilities like airports. It was believed that there is an airport in Delhi. We changed this thinking. See today we have started Hindon airport for passenger services. Work is going on at a brisk pace at the airport in Hisar. With the joining of Kedarnath’s helicopter service, the number of devotees there is increasing continuously.

Accusing the previous governments of making air-to-air announcements, he said, “Earlier for political gains, announcements of infrastructure projects were made in a hurry, like the Revadis. Lines were drawn on the paper. But how the projects would get off the ground, how they would remove the bottlenecks, from where they would manage the funds, it was not considered at all. For this reason projects were not ready for decades. The announcement was made. The cost of the project used to increase manifold. Then the excuses started. Attempts were made to blame the delay on others. But we did not do so because infrastructure is not part of politics but part of national policy for us. India’s bright future has a responsibility. We are making sure that the project does not get stuck, the project does not hang, the project does not go astray. We try to ensure that the infrastructure work is completed within the stipulated time. We have also made a provision for penalty for delay.
