The Commerce Ministry on Sunday issued instructions saying that such importer-exporter whose codes have not been updated after January 2005, will be deactivated from the coming October 6. The ministry said that this step is being taken to know the number of genuine traders in the country.

These traders are being given time till October 5 to update their IEC numbers. However, applications already pending for approval with the local authorities of DGFT will be exempted from this. For reactivation of IEC after 6th October, traders will have to apply online on DGFT website. It will be activated again after the update.

The thrilling feats of fighter planes and the astonishing acrobatics of helicopters in the sky of Dal Lake won hearts. The audience cheered the Air Force personnel with thunderous applause. The occasion was Mega Air Show. It included feats of Suryakiran Acrobatics Team, Paramotor and Powered Hang Glider Display, Flypast from MiG 21 Bison, Acrobatics Air Display by Su 30 Aircraft.
A mega air show was organized on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar on Sunday as part of the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the program from SKICC. The theme of the show was ‘Give Wings to Your Dreams’ to raise awareness among the youth about job opportunities in the Indian Air Force. Air Marshal BR Krishna, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command of the Indian Air Force was also present on the occasion. The first para motor display at the air show was followed by the Akash Ganga team of the Indian Air Force dropping the Mi 17 helicopter over the Dal Lake. During this, different feats were shown in the air.

Former US President Donald Trump has sued his niece and the New York Times over a report in 2018. It was alleged that he was involved in dubious schemes related to tax.
Trump, in a case filed in a New York court, alleges that his niece Mary Trump and newspaper reporters fraudulently tried to obtain confidential documents.
It alleges that 56-year-old Mary Trump broke an agreement under which she could not disclose documents.
In response, Mary Trump has said that this case is a sign of Trump’s “desperation”.
Mary Trump said, “They’re going around and they’re doing whatever they can to come out. Like they always do, they’ll try to change the subject.”
Last year, Trump’s niece’s book Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man was published.
Mary claimed in this book that Trump is such a complacent person who has put the lives of ordinary American people at risk. In this, he even called Trump a ‘cheater and domineering’.
Trump has consistently denied the claims made in his niece’s book. He also tried unsuccessfully to stop the publication of the book.

Donald Trump’s lawsuit this week alleges that New York Times journalists Susan Craig, David Barstow and Russell Buettner contacted and acted with his niece out of personal vendetta against him.
“Some journalists from the New York Times contacted Donald Trump’s niece with the intention of obtaining confidential tax records and had him get her to smuggle documents out of her lawyer’s office,” the chargesheet said.
Responding to this allegation, reporter Craig has made a tweet in which he has written – I knocked on my Trump’s door. He opened it. I think this is called journalism.
Daniel Rhodes Ha, a spokeswoman for the New York Times, said the reports about Trump “helped people understand a topic that is of public interest”.
The newspaper also described the lawsuit as “an attempt to silence independent news organizations”.

Investigative report on Trump’s wealth

Last year, Mary Trump also filed a case of fraud and conspiracy against Donald Trump and two family members.
In it, he alleged that the then president, his sister Marianne Trump Barry and brother Robert Trump cheated on him over a succession case. Robert Trump died in August last year.
Mary Trump also recorded an incident in her book of her aunt and Donald Trump’s older sister, Marianne Trump Barry, in which she calls her brother a liar.
Mary Trump made an intelligence recording in which Trump’s older sister and former Federal Judge Marian Trump Barry is saying that her brother has “no principles”.
Trump’s sister, Marianne, could be heard saying, ‘God save from his nonsense tweets and lies. This is deceit and cruelty.
