We are back with another exciting WWE News Roundup. Not too long ago, a former women’s champion gave a possible update on her eventual return.

Alexa Bliss recently teamed up with a surprising name during a house show. Following the latest SmackDown episode, Becky Lynch confronted an audience member for an interesting reason.

Meanwhile, a WWE Hall of Famer spoke about Christian being the “clear number two” in his tag team with Edge. Additionally, Drew McIntyre has highlighted his expectations from the upcoming draft.

With that in mind, let’s dive straight into the most recent WWE News Roundup.

#5 Potential update on Bayley’s return status

Back in July, Bayley suffered a torn ACL while training at the Performance Center. Soon after this unfortunate development, reports indicated that she would be out of action for nine months.

While those nine months aren’t over yet, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion recently put out an interesting tweet. Check it out below:

If you ask me, I’m ready

Bayley certainly seems “ready” for something, and given her current status, many believe it could be an update regarding her return.

On the other hand, this tweet may refer to a different topic instead, as she is often known to troll her followers on social media.

#4 Alexa Bliss teams up with Bianca Belair to face top WWE titleholders

During a recent WWE Live Supershow in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Alexa Bliss teamed up with Bianca Belair for the first time in her career. Before this event, both women had been part of the same bouts on only two other occasions – the 2020 and 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble matches.

Bliss and Belair faced Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch – their respective opponents at Extreme Rules – during the house show.

In WWE Hershey Live Show, they had Becky & Charlotte vs Alexa & Bianca 😍😍😍 https://t.co/5LeJgNarp6

Alexa Bliss pinned Flair at the end of the contest to pick up a victory for her team.

Although the Bliss-Belair pairing does seem a bit unexpected, non-televised WWE events often feature such random crowd-pleasing moments. But if both superstars end up on the same brand during next month’s draft, would you like to see them form a tag team for good?

Lewis Hamilton took his 100th Formula 1 Grand Prix victory in the Russian GP that started in dry conditions and ended under the rain at Sochi on Sunday.

The Mercedes driver made a late switch to intermediate tyres to take the lead when pole-sitter Lando Norris agonisingly slid out of the lead with just two laps left. Max Verstappen made it from P20 to P2, and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz took third having started second.

The pole-sitter Norris eventually finished seventh having pitted at the very end but will find himself at the mercy of the stewards after crossing the pit entry line twice on his way in.

Verstappen, from 20th on the grid, finished an incredible second after switching from hards to mediums midway through the race and cruising through the field. And it was Ferrari’s Sainz who took the final podium place – having briefly led over Norris – with an early switch to hards from mediums.

Valtteri Bottas started 16th but took fifth having pitted for mediums just after Verstappen, while Fernando Alonso started sixth and finished there with a long first stint on hard tyres. Kimi Raikkonen kept his cool to make up places in the late wet conditions and finished eighth – leaving Sergio Perez and George Russell to take the final points for Red Bull and Williams, respectively.

Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders in a last ball thriller to go top of the points table. MS Dhoni led-side took to the last ball to get eighth win of the season from 10 games. However, MS Dhoni was not convinced by his team’s performance but said it was enjoyable for the team.

“It’s a nice victory to have. At times you play good cricket and you lose. It is enjoyable when you don’t do so well and still win. It was good cricket from both sides, and a pleasure for the spectators.,” MS Dhoni said at the post match presentation ceremony.

IPL 2021 Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians Live Updates

The match truly ebbed and flowed as both teams from time to time looked like certain to win the tie and register hat-trick of wins since the resumption of the IPL 2021 season in the UAE.

After a fiery start, KKR lost charge of the game as CSK bowlers made inroads and choked the run flow. Then a cameo from Dinesh Karthik helped the Kolkata-based franchise to go past the 170-run mark. The pitch also played its part in the match.

“We bowled well in patches. It’s not easy for the fast bowlers. We tried to give them short spells. 170 was a par score, I felt. When Jadeja was bowling, it was coming on and not stopping.

“We were also worried about how the wicket will be. When you keep playing on a wicket, groundsmen sometimes water it more and leave some more grass,” Dhoni added.

CSK started the chase in a slow manner but picked up the run-rate as Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis blew away KKR bolwers all over the park.  They stitched a partnership of 74 runs for the first wicket before Andre Russell broke the partnership. Moeen Ali joined Faf in the middle as CSK continued with their onslaught. It was after Faf du Plessis’ dismissal that KKR saw a glimmer of hope as CSK kept on losing wickets at regular intervals.

“The way we started, KKR deserve some applause for making a game out of it,” MS Dhoni said.

When it looked like KKR have the match in the bag, Ravindra Jadeja hit Prasidh Krishna for 22 runs in the 19th over to get CSK back on track with them needing just four runs from the remaining 6 balls. However, KKR captain was not too disappointed with his side’s performance, “Both sides batted well. Both bowled really well. Can’t fault anything from our side… When Jadeja plays like that, similar to Sam Curran for England, I don’t think there’s a lot to do.”

Chennai Super Kings have now won six back-to-back matches in UAE and three consecutive matches since the resumption of the IPL 2021 season.

Lewis Hamilton Wins 100th F1 Grand Prix at Russia, Lando Norris Endures Heartbreak

Lewis Hamilton won the Russian Grand Prix and achieved his 100th Formula One Grand Prix victory in Sochi amidst treacherous rain on Sunday. The seven-time world champion reached the unprecedented century in his Mercedes after being stuck on 99 since the British Grand Prix in July. Hamilton also took over the championship lead from Max Verstappen, who finished second after starting the race last on the grid. It was heartbreak for Lando Norris, who was just three laps away from his first F1 win but rain ended his dream in a cruel manner and he ended up in the seventh place.

Carlos Sainz finished in the third spot while Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas completed the top five in the race.

Norris had fended off Hamilton for long and drove beautifully but started struggling in the last three laps and with Hamilton having fresher tires and the rain falling down, the Mercedes driver overtook Norris in the 51st lap and took it home.

Hamilton thanked the crowd for the turnout and while he was talking after the race, Norris very sportingly even came to him and congratulated him on his 100th.

“Big thank you to the crowd, it’s not been the best of weather but thank you. The 100th has taken a long time, wasn’t sure if it would come (Lando Norris comes and congratulates Hamilton). Lando did so well, bittersweet to see my old team ahead,” Hamilton said.

Hamilton admitted he was not happy with his qualifying race but was determined to do his best on Sunday. He did say the rain helped him and thanked his team for the perfect tactics.

“Going to bed last night, I wasn’t happy with what I had done. I watched the race again and again and there were subtle mistakes but came determined to do the best I could. Lost a lot of ground in the start but hung on. Obviously Max did a great job to finish second from last.

“Would have been tough to overtake Lando, he was fast and wasn’t making any mistake. But then the rain came and the team did a great job. Delighted with the point,” he concluded.

Verstappen was also extremely happy with his race and admitted that he did not expect the result before the start.

“To come from last to second, it’s very, very good. The race was not easy, was not easy to pass and once you got stuck, it was tough. But the rain helped.

“With the penalty we had, to lose just one spot basically, it’s not too bad. When I got up in the morning, I definitely didn’t expect this result.

“Especially from the back, a lot of things happen. You have to stay out of trouble and stay clean. It all worked out,” he said.
