Now you can chat with Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan on Alexa. Amazon on Thursday 19 August 2021 launched 78-year-old Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s voice on Alexa, with an aim to attract Big B fans and new customers to Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri instead. With the new launch, the American tech company has introduced its Celebrity Voice feature in India. The feature was initially introduced in the US in the year 2019 with the voice of American actor and producer Samuel L. Jackson.

How to use Amitabh Bachchan’s voice on Alexa

Amazon has made Amitabh Bachchan’s voice available on Alexa for an introductory price of Rs 149, which will be available for one year. However, later it will cost Rs 299. To buy Celebrity Voice on Alexa you have to say “Alexa, introduce me to Amitabh Bachchan”. Apart from this, you can also buy it directly through the Amazon site. Once the payment is done, you can interact with Big-B’s voice. You can use the wakeup word “Amit ji” to talk in the voice of Amitabh Bachchan, for which you will first have to say “Alexa, enable Amit ji wake word”. After this it will work with the word “Alexa” by default. This means that you can interact with Alexa with the wakeup word “Alexa” and you can also interact with the voice of a Bollywood actor with the wakeup word “Amit ji”.

Let us tell you, Amazon is going to include the voice of the Bollywood actor in Alexa, which was announced only in September last year. The move is aimed at attracting Amit ji’s fans and new customers towards this voice assistant.

You can access Bachchan’s voice in his life story, poems by his father and popular Indian poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, tongue twisters, motivational quotes and even listen to his favorite songs. Not only this, the new feature will also bring in Bachchan ji’s signature style when asked for music, alarms and weather updates.

To listen to old Amitabh ji songs you can ask “Amit ji, play songs from Kabhi Kabhi” or “Amit ji sholay ke songs”. Apart from this, you can also say “Amit ji, tell me a funny story” to hear entertaining anecdotes related to the life of Amitabh Bachchan.
