The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the immediate arrest of the accused in the attack on a Hindu temple. The court has said that the accused who have instigated the attack on the temple in Rahim Yar Khan, should be arrested at the earliest. The court has also ordered to repair the temple. The Supreme Court of Pakistan had ordered the Chief Secretary of Punjab State and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to appear within 24 hours in this matter. The extremists created a ruckus in the Ganesh temple in Bhong city of Punjab. The idols were broken, the chandeliers in the temple, the decorative items like glass were broken. A huge crowd of fundamentalists was also caught on camera doing this cowardly act.
After the video went viral, PM Imran Khan tweeted and strongly condemned the attack on the Ganesh temple yesterday. Imran Khan had also promised that his government would also get this temple renovated.
It is being claimed that this attack on the Hindu temple was done in protest against the bail granted to a 9-year-old Hindu boy. The boy was alleged to have urinated in a local madrasa. After which hundreds of fundamentalists ransacked the Hindu temple in Bhong and blocked the Sukkur-Multan motorway (M-5).
