Schools cannot be kept closed indefinitely as it will adversely affect the mind of the children.

Vijay Kumar Choudhary said that the government is closely studying the situation after the resumption of classes in +2 schools as well as colleges and universities in the state. Apart from this, the Crisis Management Group is also continuously considering the threat of a third wave of Corona. He said a final decision on reopening schools could be taken in the last week of July or the first week of August.

Consideration of getting pending examinations in the university soon
The Education Minister said that if the situation improves satisfactorily, the universities may be allowed to conduct their pending examinations soon. During this, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary told that the recruitment of primary teachers has ended in the first phase. The list of selected teachers was shared on the website of NIC on Tuesday. However, during counselling, not more than 70 per cent qualified candidates appeared for the recruitment. He said that the second round of counseling may be arranged after some time to fill the vacant posts.
