The new Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has made a big announcement. Pradhan on Monday announced that the NEET UG 2021 exam for admission to medical courses will be conducted on September 12, 2021. The Union Education Minister said that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test i.e. NEET (UG) 2021 will be conducted across the country on 12 September 2021 following the Kovid-19 protocol. The application process will start from 05 PM on Tuesday through the NTA website.

Pradhan said that in order to ensure social distancing norms, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of exam centers will also be increased from the 3862 centers used in 2020. To ensure adherence to the COVID-19 protocol, face masks will be provided to all the candidates at the examination centre. Time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitization, seating with social distancing etc. will also be ensured.

Application process will start from July 13

The Union Education Minister informed that the application process of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) will start from 05 PM on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Candidates can visit the website of National Testing Agency (NTA) neet.nta.nic.in for application details.

More than 15 lakh candidates appear every year
Notably, every year, more than 15 lakh medical candidates appear for the NEET exam. With regard to the NEET 2021 syllabus, the education ministry had earlier clarified that the medical entrance exam, NEET, 2021 will be conducted as per the syllabus prescribed by NTA.
