After four and a half years, the Kakori police station area of Lucknow has again come under discussion regarding terrorist hideouts. In February 2017, an ISIS terrorist named Saifullah was killed after a long operation by ATS in Haji Colony of Kakori.
The incident had spread panic in the entire Kakori area. The house where Saifullah was staying also belonged to a man from Malihabad. In the operation that lasted one and a half day, ATS and Lucknow Police not only killed Saifullah but also recovered a huge quantity of explosives, cartridges and weapons.
The ATS had claimed that the slain Saifullah had planned to blast Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Lucknow. After this incident, a campaign for verification of tenants was also launched in the entire Kakori area, but with the passage of time, this campaign also stopped. Now the incident of hiding the terrorist again in Sita Vihar Colony, just 2 km away from this Hajipur colony, has put the people around in panic.
