Flood havoc in many districts of Bihar is not taking its name to stop. Meanwhile, five friends drowned in the flood waters in Motihari together. One of them came out safely. But four youths died due to drowning in the water. The villagers have recovered the bodies of three. The search for a dead body is on. On the initiative of the villagers as well as the administrative officials, the NDRF team was engaged in the search of the body till late Saturday evening, but without success.

The incident is from Gokhula and Bankat villages of Banjariya block of East Champaran. The five friends are residents of this village. He had left the house on Saturday and reached the flooded area. During this time it is not known how he got stuck in deep water. One of these youths somehow came out of the flood water and reached the village and informed the villagers about the incident.

Search operation underway to find one
As soon as the information was received, the villagers reached the spot and started searching for the remaining four boys. The bodies of three of them were recovered. A young man is still missing there. After this the villagers informed the matter to the CO and the police team of Banjariya. Immediately policemen reached the spot and sent the recovered bodies for postmortem. The search for a missing teenager is on.

RJD MLA surrounded the state government regarding the flood
During this, RJD MLA from Narkatia, Shamim Ahmed, who reached the spot, questioned the actions of the government. He said that no permanent step has been taken by the government regarding the prevention of floods. The fate of Banjariya block has become a flood. He has demanded the government to provide assistance to the victim’s family under the Disaster Relief Fund.
