The top court has requested the lawyers to be a part of the physical hearing. Not so much, the Supreme Court on Friday, through a judicial order in a case, has asked the lawyers to come to the court and argue.
The corona epidemic has been wreaking havoc in the country for the last one and a half years, due to which court hearings were also being held through video conferencing. But now the havoc of corona virus has subsided a bit. After this, preparations are being made to hear again in the court premises. After a year and a half, the physical court is about to start again in the Supreme Court. That is, once again the lawyers in the Supreme Court will argue in front of the judge in the courtroom.
The top court has urged the lawyers to be a part of the physical hearing. Not so much, the Supreme Court on Friday, through a judicial order in a case, has asked the lawyers to come to the court and argue.
A bench of Justices L Nageswara Rao and S Ravindra Bhatt said this during the hearing of a criminal appeal related to Uttar Pradesh on Friday. The bench has asked both the lawyers of the case to come and argue in the next hearing to be held after three weeks. The lawyers of both the sides have also agreed for physical debate.
Justice Rao said, “We will have to initiate a physical debate at some point. One day or the other we will have to adopt the normal system again. Considering that almost all the judges of the Supreme Court have taken the vaccine of Kovid-19. In such a situation, the time has come when a physical court can be started.” Justice Rao said that now the situation is changing and we will have to adopt our old method. It is to be known that since March 23 last year, cases are being heard in the Supreme Court in a virtual manner.
Let us tell you that many times there has been a demand from the lawyers to start the physical court again. But this was not possible due to the increasing infection of Kovid-19. After the summer vacation, almost all the judges of the Supreme Court (barring a few exceptions) are now sitting in the courtroom for hearing. Although the debate is taking place through the virtual medium.
