After being warned by the Supreme Court, the Andhra Pradesh government has canceled the class 10th and 12th board exams. After hearing the petitions related to the board examinations on Thursday, the Supreme Court said that if there is even a single death due to corona epidemic during the examination, then the entire responsibility will be of the state government. Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government had told the court that it was preparing to conduct board examinations in the state.

A division bench of the Supreme Court told the Andhra Pradesh government that unless it is satisfied that there will be no death due to corona, the board examination will not be allowed. The court said that the government can also look into the aspect of compensation in death cases like in many other states where up to Rs.

Supreme Court raised tough questions
Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari raised strong questions to the state government on the decision to conduct the board examination. The court told the state counsel that we are not satisfied with the measures being taken by you to conduct the examination. We will not allow you until we are satisfied that you are able to conduct the test without any deaths.
