A 22-year-old Dalit youth, Vinod Meghwal, died during treatment at a hospital in a dispute after a poster of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar was torn outside his house in Kikraliya village of Rawatsar tehsil in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan.
His brother was present with the deceased Vinod at the time of the incident. Mukesh Meghwal told the PRESS24 NEWS in a phone conversation that, “On the evening of June 5, Vinod and I were going to the farm, when a car stopped near us and we could understand something, so the people who got out of the car attacked us with hockey sticks and sticks. done.”
“Vinod was hit several times on his head with sticks due to which he started bleeding profusely and he became unconscious. I immediately ran away and informed the family members.”
The family took Vinod to Rawatsar Hospital in critical condition from where he was referred to Hanumangarh and then to Sri Ganganagar. Vinod succumbed to his injuries in the Sriganganagar hospital during treatment on 7th June morning.
After Vinod’s death, people of Bhim Army and Meghwal Samaj staged a sit-in in front of the hospital and demanded action against the culprits.

In the Panchayat held to pacify the dispute, there was an agreement between both the parties. But after that the accused attacked Vinod on June 5.
22-year-old Vinod got married two years ago. His elder brother and two sisters are also married. His parents do farming. Vinod was cultivating six bighas of land on sharing.
His brother Mukesh Meghwal told that Vinod was also the social media in-charge of Bhim Army Rawatsar.
