Former MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu has given a big statement. He has said that the Captain Government has taken a very wrong step by selling government vaccines to private hospitals for profit. If the government had to make a profit, it could have earned from alcohol and mining. Punjab will be prosperous only when every youth will get employment. Unemployed teachers in the state are wandering on the roads for employment and doctors are not getting their salaries.
He said that there is no rule and order in the whole of Punjab. Patiala Municipal Corporation has proved to be the most corrupt. This is evidenced by the collapse of the lantern of an illegal building in Patiala in the past. He raised the question that how the construction is being done without getting the maps passed. Why are building inspectors not keeping an eye on illegal constructions in their areas?
It hurts to meet people
Regarding speculations that she will contest from Sannaur constituency of Patiala, she said that whenever she comes to any part of the state, especially in Patiala, and meets people, she gets into trouble. He said that at present he has no intention of contesting the elections. She only wants to serve the people of Punjab.
After 2004, not a single penny was taken from the government for treatment.
She said that her husband Sidhu has fallen seriously ill twice since 2004 but never took government funds. He got treatment at his own cost. Perhaps no politician has done this till date.
