One and a half lakh teachers will be recruited in Bihar. Patna High Court has given this decision on Thursday. In fact, hearing the petitions of the National Blind Federation and others, a bench of Justice Sanjay Karol has directed the state government to start the restoration process. After this, Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has indicated to start the application process within three days.
What was the whole matter?
Let us inform that the National Blind Federation had demanded to give 4 percent reservation in teacher recruitment to the differently-abled candidates. After which the court had stayed the appointment of 1.25 lakh primary and secondary teachers till the decision came. But in the hearing held on Thursday, the government has accepted this demand. Therefore, the court has removed this bar as well.
It will take 3 months to complete the restoration process
Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary says that the government had made preparations to complete the recruitment process in a week. However, according to the instructions of the High Court, reservation has to be given to the differently-abled candidates. Along with this, they will also have to give 15 days to apply. Only after that the merit list will be prepared. In such a situation, it may take about two to three months to complete the entire recruitment process.
