Congress demands action on the tweet of 11 Union Ministers from Twitter
On the other hand, the Congress on Tuesday, citing the tweet of 11 Union Ministers in the alleged ‘Kovid Toolkit’ case, urged Twitter to take the same action in respect of these leaders who are ‘manipulated media’ (manipulated facts) and fake In other cases.
Congress general secretary and chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala tweeted the tweet URLs of Union ministers – Giriraj Singh, Piyush Goyal, Smriti Irani, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prahlad Joshi, Dharmendra Pradhan, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Thavarchand Gehlot, Harshvardhan, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Sent a letter to the management of India and demanded action.
Surjewala, in a letter to the Twitter management, said that the criteria for action in other cases of ‘misuse of the Twitter platform for broadcasting fake content’ and other ‘manipulated media’ are the same, in the cases of tweets of these ministers Should also be adopted.
As of now, there has been no response from these senior ministers and the BJP to the move of the Congress.
What is the whole matter
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra made a tweet about the toolkit. Twitter had described the tweet as ‘manipulated media’. Taking action on this, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has sent a notice to Twitter. The Special Cell of Delhi Police asked Twitter what such facts are with the company, on the basis of which it described the tweet made about the toolkit as ‘manipulated media’. Later, a team of Special Cell of Delhi Police raided the offices of Twitter India in Delhi and Gurugram on Monday evening in connection with the investigation of the alleged ‘Kovid Toolkit’ case.
Let me tell you that Sambit Patra claimed to have resorted to a ‘toolkit’ on Congress to discredit the Corona efforts of the central government, but Twitter called this related tweet as ‘manipulated media’. After this, the central government raised this objection.
The BJP alleges that the Congress, by creating a toolkit, described the new form of Corona virus as ‘Indian form’ or ‘Modi form’ and tried to tarnish the image of the country and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, the Congress rejected the allegations, claiming that the BJP was resorting to fake ‘toolkits’ to discredit it. The Congress has also filed a case of ‘forgery’ in the police against several senior BJP leaders.
