Kejriwal said that for 6 thousand oxygen cylinders, depots of 2-2000 cylinders are being prepared at three places. If anyone needs a cylinder personally it will also be given. At the same time, with the help of 6 thousand cylinders, the corona wave will be able to prepare about 3 thousand oxygen beds. Two cylinders are required on one bed. In this way there is no lack of any kind in the efforts of the government. Apart from Mayapuri, two other places are being searched.
CM said that there were major problems in bringing oxygen cylinders from China. HCL and Give India Foundation together have donated these cylinders to the Delhi government. The central government, especially the foreign ministry and the Indian embassy in Beijing, helped. Apart from this, oxygen concentrators are being purchased in Delhi at very large levels. The government is also going to buy an oxygen tanker. They are also developing a place to store oxygen.
Home isolation patients and hospitals will also get benefit
CM said that the oxygen depot would help patients of home isolation. At present, 5 liter oxygen concentrator is being given to the patients. 10 liters will also be given if required. The government is purchasing 5 thousand concentrators with a capacity of 10 liters. These cylinders work up to 25 liters capacity, but in general if someone needs 25 liters of oxygen then it is better to be admitted to hospital. If hospitals require oxygen, they will also be provided. New beds will be built at LNJP and GTB Hospital. Just as there are health facilities in Burari and Chhatarpur, there are also new oxygen beds to be built there.
Pfizer and Moderna refuse to provide vaccine to Delhi
Kejriwal said that the Delhi government has talked to the Pfizer company. They say that she will not give vaccine directly to Delhi. For this, she will talk to the central government. Moderna said the same thing. Kejriwal said that a lot of time has already been wasted in India for vaccination. There have been many vaccines in the international market, including Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer. The central government should talk to all these companies, import all the vaccines from them and distribute them to the states. CM said that if we do not have vaccine yet, what will we do by building more booths? Booths that were built, they also had to be closed due to lack of vaccine. He said that in the letter sent to the central government, he has written that if Delhi gets 8 lakh vaccines, then according to this it will take 30 months to vaccinate the whole of Delhi.
500 patients of black fungus in Delhi, lack of injection
Kejriwal said that the Delhi government has made its centers for the treatment of patients of black fungus. LNJP, GTB and Rajiv Gandhi have set up centers inside the hospital, but there is no medicine. His question was how to treat patients without medicine. A patient receives four to five injections a day. How can we treat patients until injections are found. Kejriwal said that the central government keeps giving the injections it has. But this disease has come suddenly and there is a lot of shortage in the market of medicine for this disease. The medicine that the central government has, is distributed to all the states. Its production will also have to increase. There are about 500 patients in Delhi right now. So right now, Delhi needs about 2 thousand injections per day.
